Verizon wireless has announced the successor to the Alias the Alias 2. The new Alias features a neat keypad which changes into a QUERTY keypad when it's flipped into its horizontal position. The keypad is designed with E-ink technology reminiscent of the Amazon Kindles screen. It still has the unique dual hinge that allows it to be flipped open like a traditional clamshell and sideways into a messaging device. The Samsung Alias 2 is now available for $80 after rebates and a 2 year aggreament. [Verizon]
